BookLikes Sign Up Process
Right, just noting this for future reference because I recently was part of a discussion about how BookLikes forces the first 26 followers and I must go back to report on this later when I get the time.
Sign up process went as follows:
1) Add photo, blog title, blog description.
-sadness~ only 3 themes are available, my themes aren't available for newbies!-
2) A list of blogs to follow, I scrolled down to the bottom and hit 'next'.
3) A button for finding friends through Facebook and Twitter, I just hit 'next'.
The dashboard now loads with a loaded feed from the blogs shown in #2 even though I didn't click to follow any of them. I went in to remove them under Friends > Following tab... and even after removing them, the tab still shows 'Following 26'. Will need to go submit that as a bug report and probably make a suggestion for them to change the auto-follow.
-edit- Now the tab shows 0, I guess there was just a delay. Still, sign up process should have an option to skip and only have BookLikes blog followed in these instances so that the dashboard isn't empty.
I did not get an email asking me to verify my email address. Maybe this is part of the bot accounts problem.
